- The Board of Directors of China COSCO was awarded the "Directors of the Year Award 2006" by the Hong Kong Institute of Directors ("HKIoD") in the category of Listed Companies (SEHK - Non Hang Seng Index Constituents), because of the excellence in corporate governance. China COSCO is the first H share company won the award. COSCO Pacific also won the Director of the Year Awards 2006 in a different award category - Listed Companies (SEHK - Hang Seng Index Constituents).
- In the fifth China Freight Industry Awards (CFIA), COSCON won a total of five gold medals of Best Carrier including Best Integrated Service, Best China/U.S. Carrier, Best China/Europe/Mediterranean Carrier, Best China/Japan Carrier (PanAsia Shipping), Best China/South Korea Carrier and silver medals on Best China/Southeast Asia/Australia Carrier. This is the fifth consecutive time that COSCON has won a number of Gold Medals in China Freight Industry Awards. The winning of these awards shows COSCON's long-term stability and high quality service and the leading position in China's shipping market and reflects the customer's full recognition of the "COSCON" brand. Meanwhile, COSCO Logistics ranked No.1 in the "Best Logistics Company Award" in all the four aspects including "Integrated Service", "Warehousing Management", "Process Management" and "Network Coverage", which reflects its comprehensive advantage and leading position in China logistics industry.
- COSCO Pacific was awarded the Economic Digest's Hong Kong Outstanding Enterprises in 2006 for the second consecutive year.

- COSCON has received from Lloyd's List the "Sailing Schedule Reliability Award" for nine consecutive years and has received from the China Shipping Gazette the "Best Shipping Line Award" for various trade lanes in the past years . In 2004, 11 of COSCON's vessels were recognized as "The QUALSHIP 21 Vessel" by US Coast Guard. For excellence in information technology implementation, COSCON has been ranked among the top 24 Chinese companies in 2004 by the National Information Evaluation Centre.
- COSFRE has been named as one of the top two freight forwarders in 2004 by the China International Forwarders Association and International Business Daily in overall performance as well as specific subsectors such as maritime transport. COSFRE also received awards for the provision of services in import, export, warehousing and information technology in 2003.
- In recognition of high standards of corporate governance, COSCO Pacific has received awards from diverse bodies such as the Institutional Investor Research Group and the Hong Kong Management Association from 2002 to 2004. COSCO Pacific was awarded "Conglomerate with the Best Investor Relations in Asia" by Institutional Investor Research Group in 2004 , and was ranked the seventh for the "Most Commitment to Shareholder Value" by Finance Asia in 2003.
